Halma Plc has acquired Canada based Deep Trekker for £36mn

LONDON: Halma Plc, the worldwide group of life-saving technology companies focused on rising a safer, cleaner and more healthy future for everybody each day, has acquired Deep Trekker Inc.

Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Deep Trekker is a market-leading producer of remotely operated underwater robots used for inspection, surveying, evaluation and maintenance. It serves markets together with aquaculture, renewable energy and ocean science and research.

The money consideration for Deep Trekker is CAD$60m (approximately £36m) on a money and debt free basis, which will be funded from Halma’s existing facilities. Deep Trekker’s unaudited income for the 12 months to 31 December 2021 was CAD$20.0m (approximately £12m), with Return on Sales above Halma’s goal vary of 18-22%. Deep Trekker will be a half of Halma’s Environmental & Analysis sector.
