Contract award from Covalent Lithium Pty Ltd
The contract with Covalent Lithium Pty Ltd is for the design and construction of Non-Process Infrastructure Buildings for Covalent’s Mount Holland Lithium Project, based in Western Australia. Covalent is the supervisor appointed by a three way partnership between subsidiaries of Sociedad QuÃmica y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) and Wesfarmers Limited to develop and function the Mount Holland Lithium Project, which will be a unique, fully built-in producer of battery high quality lithium hydroxide in Western Australia.
The contract, scheduled to commence this month, includes the development of an Administration Building, Laboratory, Workshop, Warehouse, Central Control Room, Refuelling Facility, Wastewater Treatment and related utilities and civil works at Covalent Lithium’s Kwinana Refinery. The contract is set be accomplished throughout 1H CY23.
Contract award from Talison Lithium Australia Pty Ltd
The contract with Talison Lithium Australia Pty Ltd is to assemble a Technical Services Building at its Greenbushes Lithium Operations, located in Western Australia.
The contract is to present new upkeep and workplace facilities to support Talison’s expanded mining operations and is scheduled to commence this month and full in 1H CY23. It includes the development of workplace facilities and a fleet mine management room for truck haulage optimisation.
Talison is owned by three way partnership companions Tianqi Lithium Corporation / IGO Limited and Albemarle Corporation, which, together with its predecessor companies, have been producing lithium minerals from the Greenbushes Lithium operation since 1983. The Greenbushes space is recognised because the longest continuously operated mining space in Western Australia (circa 1888). The project is found in Greenbushes, roughly 250 km south of Perth.
