Quadpack investing in German manufacturing facilities to meet elevated demand

PARIS, FRANCE: International magnificence packaging producer and supplier Quadpack is investing over €6 million at its German manufacturing facilities in Kierspe, to meet elevated market demand.

The funding will go towards the creation of a ornament centre and the expansion of its injection-moulding and meeting capacity. Already a reference in thick-walled PET injection, Quadpack goals to become an industry standard for sustainable manufacture and decoration.

Skincare is predicted to develop 10% in 2022, amid indicators of optimism throughout the industry. Market research point out growth potential in ‘clean beauty’ skincare and haircare, and enterprise segments like dermocosmetics.

Quadpack’s Kierspe plant is being expanded to meet elevated demand, in particular for airless packaging, whereas bringing ornament services in-house to speed up time to market. 2022 gross sales from the plant are anticipated to extend in line with 2021, which was up 25% over the earlier year.

The funding in German manufacturing facilities is devoted to staff expansion, new moulds, and injection machines and meeting equipment optimised through Industry 4.0. A manufacturing enterprise system (MES) is being put in to enhance lead times, effectivity and provide chain agility, whereas gaining greater management of producing operations. With the acquisition of ornament specialist Stefan Wicklein Kunststoffveredelung GmbH in Steinbach am Wald in 2021, Quadpack will be able to provide specialist ornament services and know-how at each the Steinbach and Kierspe plants, the place a 900m2 facility will be devoted to decoration.

To guarantee sustainable production, Quadpack’s manufacturing facilities run on 100% renewable energy and function a steady programme to reduce waste. The Kierspe plant holds an EcoVadis Silver Medal and is ISCC-certified. SAN and SMMA manufacturing is being gradually shifted to PET and rPET for greater recyclability.
